Death of One School leads to the Beginning of Another

Built in a rural area in Cunjal, just East of Princes Town the Caledonia E.C. Primary School was the place for many of the children of the village to get their first taste of education. Nestled amongst the sugar cane fields it was the only school for miles around.

Research and Compilation by Mr. Zainool Hosein (1990s)

 Lengua Islamia T.I.A opened its doors on the 16th January 1956 with Mr. Ramjohn Ali as acting principal,and five assistant teachers, Mr. Raphic Ali, Mrs. Razedan Loorkhor, Mohammed R. Baksh, Mr. Mohammed R. Khan and Mr. Ameer Ali with an enrolment of 238.
